I’m LaShawn Sanders, the creative force behind MizShawnie’s. Entrepreneur, event stylist, youth advocate, creative visionary, and community leader passionate about creating experiences that leave lasting impact.

For as long as I can remember, creativity has been a part of who I am. What started as a love for decorating, designing, and bringing people together eventually grew into a brand and movement centered around purpose, empowerment, and unforgettable experiences. From custom event styling and branding to youth development and community programs, I’ve dedicated my journey to building spaces where people feel seen, celebrated, inspired, and supported.

Over the years, I realized that my work was never just about balloons, décor, or beautiful events — it was about helping people bring their vision to life. Whether I’m styling a luxury celebration, mentoring youth, creating branding for entrepreneurs, or organizing community initiatives, my mission has always remained the same: to empower others to dream bigger, believe in themselves, and walk confidently in their purpose.

As the founder of MizShawnie & Friends Inc., I’ve expanded that vision into youth advocacy and community leadership by creating programs that focus on mindset, mental health, entrepreneurship, performing arts, and life skills for young people and families throughout Contra Costa County and surrounding communities. I believe that mindset and mental health come first, and that every child deserves access to creativity, encouragement, guidance, and opportunity.

Through every challenge, lesson, and milestone in my journey, I’ve continued to evolve — not only as a businesswoman, but as a woman determined to turn passion into purpose and purpose into impact.
